Lens beat Toulouse 3-0 on Sunday to secure their second successive Ligue 1 victory, as a brace from Dusan Fofana and a goal from Théo Ndombele helped the hosts to a comfortable win.
The match was a dominant display by Lens, who controlled possession for much of the first half and created several chances through their attacking midfielders. However, it was Toulouse who took the lead in the 47th minute when Romain Hamouma nodded home a corner.
But Lens responded immediately, with Fofana firing home a penalty after being brought down by Hamouma in the box. The Frenchman then added another just before halftime, this time scoring from the edge of the area after being set up by Ondrej Koudelka.
Toulouse came out stronger in the second half and almost levelled matters when Hamouma fired wide from close range. But Lens held firm and were rewarded with a third goal moments later, with Ondrej Koudelka's cross finding Théo Ndombele at the back post to score his first senior goal for the club.
Lens now have 22 points from 16 games, two clear of Marseille, who lost 2-1 to Saint-Etienne on Saturday. The team will be looking to build on this result and continue their impressive form in the league.
